Prevention

Our practice places a strong emphasis on preventative dental care.

The number one cause of tooth loss is periodontal disease. Early signs of periodontal disease are bleeding, red and inflamed gums. If left untreated, bone and tooth loss is eminent. What many people may not realize is that in most cases periodontal disease is preventable.

With regular checkups, an early diagnosis will help to prevent more involved, costly procedures.

Recommended Preventative Dental Care

  • Regular dental cleanings (two-four times per year)
  • Check-up X-rays and Examination (once a year)
  • Daily Brushing and Flossing
  • Fluoride Treatments
  • Sealants
